My body, my own enemy
Attacking itself, attacking me
What is wrong, what is right?
The one that I defend, I fight

How can I trust you anymore
You threaten me in every way
In every cell and every pore
Craftsman of your own decay

How can I love you anymore
When you jeopardize my future
Yet you are me and I am you
Who would I hurt by hating you?

Why put me through such pain and fright?
Is it revenge, is it a test?
I might not always treat you right
But you know I’m trying my best

How can I love you anymore
You threaten me in every way
And you jeopardize my future
Craftsman of your own decay

What did I do to deserve this?
Is there a way to make it okay?
Can’t we just make up and kiss?
And make it through another day

How can I trust you anymore
You threaten me in every pore
Yet you are me and I am you
Who would I hurt by hating you?
